The Unitary
My personal collection of works that I feel uphold a higher quality of writing.
May or may not review them, may or may not reread them, but I’m always open to recommendations from anyone. Be aware the content of Bookmarks and Works are different, though there might be some overlap.
Will keep out any explicitly... explicit material such as porn with no plot content as those are mostly just for personal dirty pleasures, regardless of how well the porn or characters are written. That doesn’t bar explicit works from being added if it is minor or can be skipped to viewer’s discretion.

“What do you mean you’re retiring?” Bakugou asks nicely, or at least as nicely as someone like Bakugou can ask. The question is phrased more like a demand.
“Call it a mid-life crisis,” Shouto answers, like Bakugou asked him what the weather would be tomorrow, and takes a deep sip from his coffee. “I’m thinking of changing careers.”
The world of heroes is quick to adapt to surprises, but Pro Hero Entropy’s (very premature) retirement announcement throws almost everyone for a pretty impressive loop.

"It’s not that his peers are inherently cruel to the Quirkless. Izuku firmly believes that, if the truth ever got out to his classmates, they would still welcome him with open arms. At the same time though, acceptance does not necessarily mean they are well-informed on the subject. His classmates might be well-intentioned, but sometimes the words that come out of their mouths cut deeper than even he could have ever expected."
OR
In which Izuku possesses the words and knowledge to try and correct his classmate's misguided beliefs concerning Quirkless people, but actually communicating them is another challenge altogether.

“Your quirk’s not exactly cut out for hero work.”
Shouta examines his teeth in the bathroom mirror before bed, pulling his upper lip aside to study his gums, looking for the compound-eye glitter beneath the skin, the pulsing center of his quirk, but finds nothing. He brushes his teeth until they bleed instead. -

“Freedom, huh?” Cecili murmurs. “Is this what this is? Not having my memories—is that freedom?” He’s worrying the grass between his fingers, tearing out some of it in absentmindedness.
“For some, it might be,” Xiao says, echoing his earlier thoughts. “Do you think that’s what freedom means for you, Cecili?”The bard lets out a small, wry laugh. “What do I know of freedom,” he says, and watches as the grass blades drift away in the wind.
A stray amnesiac bard makes a home for himself in Qingce Village. Despite himself, Xiao visits, again and again.

Summary
When Petunia Dursley refused to take Harry in she forfeited his birthright protection, so Dumbledore took the baby to the safest place he knew: Hogwarts.
The applicable staff (mostly just… not Snape) took Harry in on a rotating schedule as he grew from baby to toddler to child. They traded extra credit for babysitting among the older students, and Harry grew up knowing a few dozen different laps that were safe and warm to nap in.
This was a Harry who grew up among books, among old transient walls and learned professors. They gave Binns night duty sometimes, and let him talk young Harry to sleep. This was a Harry whose world changed, on principle, daily. The stairs moved. The walls became doors. You had to keep your eyes open–you had to pay attention. So he did.
He grew up in a school. Knowledge was power, but knowledge was also joy. This was his sanctuary. There was magic in his world from birth.
