He noticed his pack looking at him, and they didn’t seem as relieved as Stiles expected. In fact they were looking in his direction as if he had grown a second head or something.
“I don’t think you should look so surprised, I’ve been training a lot lately, okay?” He said indignantly, crossing his arms.
“Stiles, that’s not...” Scott said, half pointing at his direction.
That’s when Stiles heard that familiar voice again from behind him, “I think they’re confused about me, buddy.”
Stiles then remembered that he had to thank the stranger who had helped them, but... Wait... That familiar voice… Was that his voice? He turned around abruptly, wide eyed. He took three steps back, tripping and nearly falling on the ground.
Or: Stiles accidentally summons his future self who claims they can heal the nemeton.
If he helps younger Stiles and Derek to see what's always been right in front of them, that's a pleasant coincidence. Right? -

“What sort of day have we had then?” Peter asked, letting his fingers sift up through Stiles’s hair.
“Tonight’s a quiet night,” he murmured into the space created from his forehead resting on his folded arms atop the counter.
“Mmm,” Peter mumbled softly, as if thoughtful. His fingers in Stiles’s hair splayed a little, pressing more firmly, massaging the back of his head and neck.

Summary
After stumbling upon a new subsection of the fandom, and reading as much of it as I could. There were lines in some of the works I read that triggered ideas in my head, so I decided to write my own.
This is my first fanfic in the Harry Potter fandom, and my second fanfic ever. This is not beta read, so I make no promises about quality.
This is my take on "What if the basilisk bite itself was plenty to trigger the inheritance?", followed up by "Since he's already had his inheritance a year before, what if the attack by a swarm of dementors at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban triggered a soul scream?"
