ohhhhh wow this is really really something special. very thoughtful and intriguing exploration of what the after-after of the turn a epilogue would look like, of what Dianna would feel abt the impact of her disability and the many years she’s lived and what Kihel would feel about her brand-new-old life and abandoning the planet she grew up on. I like how at times I genuinely lost track of which of them was speaking, I love all the little details of them lying on the bed talking to each other, I think the idea of Lily politically maneuvering around Guin by marrying him symbolically but also actually sort of marrying Harry and Harry being flustered because ladies are teasing him (as usual, silly knight) is intriguing. I love how the dialogue here almost feels like they are speaking to each other telepathically. Really cool story.
kihel and dianna reflect my favorite weirdly prevalent gundam thing thats a combo of "recognizing the self thru the other" and "we are the same person". this pops up a lot in my favorites-the frost brothers from after war X are sort of the same person if you count thought and sensation as the boundary, kyoji and schwartz are forks of one another, and 00 is littered with identity issue dyads. im not a big seed fan but the one thing it did right for me was the clone drama, haha.
