I think this was a fun take on the chapter. I enjoyed Claire, the confrontational one, actually getting pissed with Alexia for being stupid and hoping that the very strong antagonistic group wouldn't kill them because they said so.
Also was a nice detail at the end to have them notice Cid a bit away and then worry when Delta mentions his blood.
Although with how you referenced the game here so much I'm surprised you did this scene and not the end of the truth seekers event since that canonically has Cid pop out in front of the dragon Zeta and Eta were fighting.
It works either way.
Oh I forgot about the truth seekers, I thought it happened earlier and Cid appeared in front on the hill like in the in the Anime. (I searched it up you were right.)
Oh and I just wanted to make the ssc references because I got really excited that 87s squad cannoncally fights delta. I had already written about them before the new ssc chapter dropped and it lined up so perfectly with what I wrote, I wanted to mention it.
