    Best part is how some might misread it as you originally called the chapter!

    Although I do note from last chapter that in Canon, Cid never got stabbed in the heart. Sure, I believe he could heal one without having to practice beforehand. But this is explicitly the one weakness that instakills vampires in the setting.
    In sanctuary Cid moved the bare amount that the false Olivier missed heart and got close enough to bite. The draining field would actually have made heart injury genuinely threatening to him, I believe.

    Unless you are making this Cid more competent or powerful than he already was in canon?

      I ment for him to get stabbed where his heart should have been but everyone else misinterpreted it as it actually happening. My writing is just not as clear as I want it to be.

        Don't worry, you'll get better at getting your intentions across as you write.
        Reading through what you wrote the next day also helps in spotting where you thought one thing but it reads as another.
