I'm glad you caught that foreshadowing. I really felt this breaking point was inevitable. Bucky is definitely going to carry guilt after this, even if he shouldn't. I wanted the office destruction to feel as chaotic as his internal state, showing that raw side of him. The reader choosing to stay instead of calling security definitely changes things moving forward. Thanks for reading, the slow burn is only just getting started ;)))
