Hmmm favorite genre is hard. I generally like things to have happy endings and mostly gravitate towards longer fics because I like to have something to really dig into. I'm a sucker for a good fix-it fic (time travel, AU, etc) or some devastating hurt/comfort (as long as there is a good comfort payoff). I'm also always a fan of found family and team/colleagues/friends as family. And I love fics where characters get to succeed via unexpected means (through esoteric knowledge, undervalued skills, or unexpected prowess). I read a lot of fics centered around ships but often its more about "I want these characters interacting" than explicitly the romance.
