Hi! You can't add works directly to a collection, but you can add bookmarks/recs to those works by putting the collection name in the "Add to Collections" box on the bookmark creation form.
I would like to create a list of recommendations or a list of works that use certain tropes. Please [strike]use our collections feature[/strike] *add your bookmarks to a collection you have made for your rec list* for this rather than creating a separate work.
...it would absolutely never have occurred to me to approach "add to collections" from Bookmarks -- there's no connection in my mind between Bookmarks and Collections. Not sure how typical a user I am, but I do note at least one other person here had the same confusion.
(Now I need to find out whether Bookmarks Collections are different from Regular Collections, and whether a Collection ahs to be created first before I can add bookmarks in, or whether I can create one from a Bookmark.)
Hi! Collections can contain only bookmarks, only works, or a combination of the two; there is no specific type of collection for bookmarks. A collection does have to be created separately before bookmarks or works can be added to it.
