Summary
Where there is light, there is darkness. Now that the war with the Earth Mother and her Giants is over, and the jubilation of victory is wearing thin, the damage must be assessed. Without celebration, and without adrenaline, there is nothing left to hold back the tide of nightmares and pain that Nico di Angelo pushed aside so that he might help complete the quest of the Seven, and save the world. Three days in the infirmary were what he promised to Will Solace, but as he will find out, a lot can happen in those three days. A lot of old wounds can be torn open. A lot of dark secrets can be revealed.

Summary
Set directly after No Mercy for the Storm, in Uncertain as the Dawn, the Final Prophecy has been spoken. Apollo has been hurled to the mortal world from mount Olympus, but a paranoid Zeus has forbidden anyone who witnessed the Final Prophecy from disclosing it.
The Seat of the Gods’ power is closed to everyone, but the demigods of Camp Half-Blood have more to worry about than the issues of their godly parents. Two of the demigods in question, Nico di Angelo and Will Solace are in for a ride as a misunderstanding threatens to drive a permanent wedge between them, potentially shattering the blooming friendship, and perhaps, eventual romance, between them.

Summary
Set three years after Uncertain as the Dawn, things have changed dramatically in Camp Half-Blood. Will Solace is still in grieving for Nico di Angelo, but things are mostly looking up for the Greeks, other than, of course, the dead silence from Olympus. No gods, no matter how powerful, seem to have been able to pierce the veil surrounding Olympus. Hades and Poseidon are concerned for their brother but are unable to do anything. The deities stranded outside Olympus have taken temporary residence in the Theopolis, a floating city in the Sound, designed by Annabeth Chase and blessed by Athena, though its patron deity is Poseidon, as reparation for the Athens incident.
Three years to the day, Nico di Angelo returns, seemingly from the dead. On his heels is another looming threat, unlike any that Olympus has faced before.
