Summary
Kyojuro noticed the first few times whenever he was getting ready for another mission, a frozen wisteria branch. He stared at the futon with a brow raised. The weather so hot outside, yet there was a frozen wisteria branch frozen lying on his futon. He had been staying at the Butterfly Manor to rest for a few days as his previous mission took so much strength out of him. The Flame Hashira walked carefully over to the futon, kneeling down on his knees as he delicately picked up the frozen wisteria branch. When he held it in his large hands, eyes widening at the ice melting away from his touch. The ice didn’t bother him. The cold never really did anyway, as his body was the flame itself—always burning so brightly and hotly like the scorching sun.

The hint of wisteria hit his senses, as well as something else. A scent that held him when he was injured by Akaza. Closing his eyes, Kyojuro lifted the wisteria flower up to his nose, taking in the scent of the flower, as well as that person’s scent.It smelled of summer with a hint of eucalyptus and tea and a little bit of a fruity scent of an orange.
“What a wonderful, pleasant smell…” The Flame Hashira murmured to himself, eyes half hooded, as his fingers toyed and played with the wisteria flower. “I wish to know you, whoever you are. I hope to meet you soon.” He whispered as if it were a prayer.
