Summary
Lena Luthor is a model student. Lena Luthor is working on her second degree at 20 years old, and on the fast track for grad school applications by next year. Lena Luthor is going to change the world, even if her family refused to pay for her education after she came out. She has a full ride scholarship for her grades, and she will graduate with no debt.
So, when a piece of paper with 10 digits on it is slammed down on top of her Quantum Mechanics textbook during her requisite daily 3.5 hours of library time, her reaction is one of intense irritation.

Lena Luthor is too busy maintaining a perfect GPA to go on a date. At least, until her best friend pesters her into it. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
“Excuse me?” Lena says, clearing her throat of the nervous high note it’s taken on. “Um. This is going to be really weird, and please feel free to say no because it’s kind of a wild request from a total stranger, but –“
The blonde woman laughs, turning towards Lena with none of the alarm or indignation she expected. She just looks open, and friendly.
“That’s one way to start a conversation,” the stranger says, white teeth flashing. “What’s the request?”
“Will you kiss me?”

Lena doesn’t have time for dating, so she asks several strange, beautiful blonde women to kiss her in front of national monuments to get her best friend off her back. And it’s fine, because she’ll never see them again. Right?

Summary
It’s absolutely against the rules for Cupids to reveal themselves to their charges. And it’s even more against the rules for Cupids to have lunch with their charges several times a week, have movie nights on said charge’s couch, and develop a years-long intimate friendship. And it is absolutely, one hundred percent against the rules for Cupids to develop teeny, tiny, baby crushes on the people they’re supposed to be finding love for.
But, that’s Kara’s cross to bear; she’s always been a rule-breaker.

Summary
“I’m Kara. Lillian hired me? To clean the pool?” It all comes out like a question, and the girl raises a dark eyebrow. She looks about Kara’s age, and she’s so freaking beautiful that it makes Kara feel stupid.
“I suppose she was finished with the last one, then,” the girl mutters. She’s so pale that she almost glows even under the big pool umbrella she’s sitting under, and after a second of sizing Kara up she pulls her sunglasses back up and goes back to the large book in her lap. “It’s not worth the money, you know.”
“What?”
The girl turns a page calmly. “She’ll eat you alive.”

When Kara is hired to clean the Luthor manor pool for the summer, what she wants more than anything (besides a good journalism internship) is to muster up the courage to ask Lena out. There’s only one thing in the way – Lena’s mother, and her wandering hands.
