Summary
Season 1 Episode 3 - Mickey focused
"Ian Gallagher! You messed with the wrong girl!"
Mickey was pissed, but not surprised, when Gallagher ran like a pussy, rather than stand up and fight. Men didn't run and hide in fucking closets. That's what girls and faggots did. He didn't want to think of what his dad would do to him if he'd been Gallagher. If he ran like that, his dad would probably beat him to within an inch of his life, and then some.
You back down from a fight, you show weakness. You show weakness, you bring shame, you destroy reputations.
In this neighbourhood, reputation was everything.

Season 1 Episode 6 - Mickey focused
If anyone asked, Mickey was just really fucking curious.
He didn't have a clue what he was doing. He didn't have to chase Gallagher down anymore. The kid didn't even need to be on his radar. And yet, there he was, sat outside the god damn Kash 'n Grab, freezing his bollocks off.

This kid had been in his fucking head for weeks now, like a damn parasite, and now here he was, laying on his bed, Mickey sat atop his chest. Ian's eyes fell for a moment, lowering to stare at the quite prominent bulge in Mickey's pants, before flickering back up.
And then, everything went to hell.

Season 1 Episode 9 - Mickey focused
Mickey pauses, feeling torn. Him and the redhead had been going at this thing for a couple of weeks now, and, somehow, they'd fallen under some definition of friendship. They had an understanding. Ian needed a fuck - Mickey was there. Mickey needed something to take away the sting of all the shit going on at home - Ian was there. It was the most stable thing Mickey thought he'd ever had in his life.
So, unable to refuse, Mickey said, "I'll meet you there in twenty."

Season 1 Episode 10 - Mickey focused
"I- I miss you." Gallagher says the moment Mickey's concentration is back on him. And it's actually kind of cute, the way the kid's eyes dart down when he says it.
"You say that again, I'll rip your tongue out of your head." He replies, the words a natural defence.
But, of fucking course, Ian's face just splits into one of those stupid, crazy, impish grins he has when he's happy, a quiet chuckle falling from the tip of his tongue. Mickey stares at him for a second, his stomach flipping uncomfortably, and then turns away to try and hide the smile fighting its way onto his own face. Fucking Gallagher.

"The hell's he doing here?" He mutters when he notices the redhead standing beside his sister. His stomach drops at the sight of him, taller and leaner now, and he thinks he might have forgotten what effect the kid has on him.
"Hey, Mick." Ian says, his eyes sparkling and his lips lifted into a soft smile.

Season 2 Episode 8 - Mickey focused
"If my dad finds out about this, he will kill me himself." Mickey says. Why won't the kid fucking listen to him? "I've been to 16 bars, the homeless shelter, shantytown under the L, your house, batty Sheila's... where the fuck is he?" He exclaims, his voice rising in desperation, becoming more and more shaky the longer he talks. He grabs Ian's shoulder and spins him around.
"I don't know!" Ian replies, his own voice louder now.
"Bullshit!" Mickey yells, the fear and rage beginning to seep out.
He stares at the redhead for a moment, and then something clicks. He can't help but laugh at the idiocy of this kid. "You warned him."

Season 3 Episode 2 - Mickey focused
"Hey! What's going on under there?" He calls out, peering into the shade beneath the bleachers.
He's pretty fucking sure he knows exactly what the fuck is going on.
"Lookie what we got here!" He says in a sing-song voice, swinging under and over the metal scaffolding, his signature smirk widening into a full-on grin when he catches a glimpse of fiery red hair. He doesn't really care about how he's finding the kid; he's just fucking happy to see him again.

"That your grandpa?" He asks.
"Nah, just a guy I've been seeing." Ian replies casually.
The kid looks smug and Mickey's pretty sure he knows what's going on. He knows he's being provoked, that the redhead is trying to get a reaction out of him, and it's fucking difficult for Mickey not to bite.
