Summary

Hotch let out a sigh in response.
"And forgive me for possibly saying too much, but he knows,” Spencer continued, “Jack knows that his dad loves him, Aaron."
Emily could barely hold in a gasp.
"Thank you, Spencer. I appreciate it."
Only silence followed afterwards, and the conversation seemed to be over.
Emily was trying her hardest to uphold her seemingly calm exterior, but on the inside, her wheels were turning as she had more questions than answers.
In which Emily overhears a conversation not meant for her, and she's left trying to figure out what it means.

Somehow, though, Reid felt comfortable with Hotch touching them.
Derek furrowed his brows, trying to remember if maybe they had started hanging out more lately, but quickly dismissed that thought.
Aaron Hotchner wasn't one to "hang out" with anyone, much less his own agents. He always tried keeping a strict work-life balance, as difficult as being a part of this team made that.
Derek tried coming up with another explanation as to why Reid would be okay with that sort of physical contact.
If it were anybody else, Derek's answer would have been simple: flirting.
On their way home from a case, Derek witnesses what seems to be innocent gesture. But is that really all there is to it?

"So," he started, voice nonchalant, "when are you going to talk to him?"
Hotch only stared at him, an unreadable expression on his face.
"Aaron, it doesn't take a profiler to see that you have more than a soft spot for sleeping angel here."
At that, Hotch turned his head to look at Reid, careful not to wake him. The faintest of smiles played around his lips — most people would have missed it as it was gone before it had really appeared. But David Rossi wasn't most people, and that look was all he needed to confirm his suspicions.
"Don't," he said before Hotch even had a chance to start talking. "You're his boss; you're older than him; you have to think about the team... So what?"
On a plane ride home, Dave decides to take matters into his own hands. Someone has to, after all.
