Summary
"Where're you goin?" Kankuro whispers, and he's already wary of the answer. He probably didn't want to ask, but she didn't raise him as a scardy-cat.
"Not far, Otouto. Just upstairs." She shrugs nonchalantly, but her shoulders are tight. Her brothers would always be her weak spot and, regardless of what she let her father think, she had absolutely no intention of doing anything about it.
"But- The only rooms up there are Otou-san's, Yashamaru-oji's, and Gaara's!" He whisper yelled, crawling out of bed and over to her. "Or- Only Otou-san's and Gaara's. Why are you moving up there?"
"...I am to take over Yashamaru-oji's job of caretaker to Gaara-kun. The village needs me." She tells him, ignoring his gasp of horror, "Father needs me. And can I tell you a secret?" She whispers, right into his ear, because her brothers were her weakness and it was impossible to lie to them for long. Kankuro's the most trustworthy person she knew, anyway. He nods, slowly, and she whispers; "Gaara-kun needs me too."

Summary
Determination and Spite roared the loudest, and she held onto them, doggedly hoping that she never had to face any other emotion if she kept these ones blazing, because she wasn't sure she could deal with that.
Instead of saying something along the lines of cute, innocent Sakara-chan, answering with a blushed babble about Sasuke-kun, she gave a smile that felt like it should be bloody and snarled-
"I'm going to punch God. I'm going to punch her right in her stupid face through a fucking mountain. I'm going to kill her."
