Summary
Years ago, Lionel Fusco had no choice. To save a young girl’s life, he shot and killed her gun-wielding father in front of her.
Years later, Harold Finch had no choice. To save a teenager’s life — and to keep her out of IFT’s servers — he kidnapped a heroin-addicted hacker and committed her to rehab against her will.
Now the young woman’s own attempts to make good choices have gone terribly wrong, and her Number’s come up. To save her life for a third time, Fusco, Finch, and John Reese will need to examine her choices – and their own.

Summary
Finch is safe, but he’s snappish and frankly not very appreciative. Christine Fitzgerald’s back, with a fist-shaped bruise on her face and a not-entirely-convincing story about how she got it. Bear makes his first rescue and obviously expects his master to take care of her. And it’s raining. John Reese is not, in short, having a good day. But it might get better, with a little help from his friends.
A sequel, sort of, to “Backing Up.” Not much drama here, just a massively long vignette about Reese sorting things out in the aftermath of Finch’s kidnapping and rescue. Also, I needed to get the Bear story out of my system. After “Bad Code”, with implied spoilers.

Summary
Special Agent Donnelly is obsessed with finding the Man in the Suit. He's certain that Christine Fitzgerald knows where he is. So the last thing he expects is to end up on a date with her. But sneaking into a theater to watch the 1935 B&W movie version of “Les Miserables” isn’t really a date, is it? Even if there’s popcorn? And hand-holding? And maybe just a kiss or two? It’s still all just about finding the Man, right?
Since this is her third story, I guess the now officially the Chaos AU. This story follows "Backing Up and "Tuesday in the Rain with Bear".

Summary
If her arrival didn’t disturb the dealers and the junkies, Reese’s certainly did. In his black overcoat and shiny shoes, he moved through the brackish squalor like a shark, and the little fish scattered anxiously before him.
John Reese has always protected people. He has his reasons. Usually his overprotective instincts are an asset. But sometimes they just make things worse. The new Number and his brother need Reese’s help, but only if he can keep from scaring them to death.
Casefic, S2 after “Dead Reckoning” with some spoilers. Adult language and reference to drug use.

A library, a dinner party, a surprise for the guests, and one last surprise for Christine -- all before the first snow of winter falls. Next in the Chaos AU, no Number, just ships (finally!) being launched.
“You built me a library,” Christine explained. “Did you really think I wasn’t going to sleep in it at least once?”
She started into the hall. Finch held his ground and pulled her back to him. He kissed her thoroughly. Christine raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
“I built you a library,” Harold explained gently. “Did you really think I wouldn’t want to make love to you in it, at least once?”

Reese opened his mouth, but for a long moment no sound came out. He felt like he was strangling. All the horrors he’d seen in the world, all the absolute monstrosities – and yet Samuel Weitz’ little hobby was just too. He couldn’t even say too what – just too. What finally came out was, “Where does he get the mice?”
There was silence on the other end of the comm.
And then, “Well, that’s a very good question, Mr. Reese.”
