scar didn’t respond immediately, and an awkward tension grew. “i…i hate to be a bearer of bad news for you, but—”
grian’s breath caught as he recalled the events of the previous day. “oh. right.”

“…I wanted to say that—” Grian began.
“The stars are out,” Scar said, cutting Grian off.
“Oh. Yeah, they are.” Grian said, looking up at the sky. The stars were particularly bright tonight, and there were no clouds in sight. The night sky was in its fullest glory.
“It's nice. I miss stargazing.”
Tears stung at the corners of Grian’s eyes. “I miss it too.”
Scar’s head rested on Grian’s shoulder. “I miss something else more.”
