Summary
“Ok? Wilhelm, did you hear me? I mean, do you understand what I’m saying?” Minou looked at Wilhelm, confused and concerned, setting down her iPad and letting her eyes roam the room. She felt validated as the faces she saw matched hers.
“My mother is dead. I understand.” Wilhelm looked up at Minou, face still blank before he stood, chin lowering to acknowledge the members of the staff that had been summoned for the meeting, and then leaving.

(Or, Wille and Simon have two years together before ultimately they can't keep up with the demands of the crown and take a break. Wille navigates the regret that comes with that while his mother's untimely death forces him to expedite his healing and save himself with a bit of help from the ones who've saved him before)

“I said, boyfriend, and no correction was given.”
Wille rolls his eyes, “No, you didn’t miss anything, I haven’t asked him yet. I was going to before Christmas, but it seemed crazy to do that and then disappear for a month to do state visits.”
Felice makes a face as he finishes, “Ew, are we back to “I hope you have a nice Christmas?”
“No, we are not back to that, I just, things have been going really well, and I don’t want to screw anything up and I know he doesn’t want to rush anything.”
“Wille you’re so weird. You’ve been ready to be back with him for months.”
“Ok, but he wasn’t, and as much as you enjoy my impulsive thoughts, he doesn’t.”

“Why are you being so weird about what you’re gonna wear?” Elias asks.
“This is the first event that we’re going to since it was announced that we are back together.”
“Ok?” Elias looks at Simon confused.
“So, whenever Wille and I used to attend events, one of the conditions was that Minou would pick out what we’d wear, it was like the one thing that I didn’t have to worry about but at the same time it was one of the things that bothered me the most.”
“Why?”

Summary
“How are things with your friends and with Simon?”
Before Wille can answer the question, a knock at the door makes him jump. His staff knows he isn’t to be bothered during his session, and he doesn’t think they’ve ever overstepped. Seconds pass without movement and there is another knock, causing Wille to stand as he hears Minou’s voice through the door, “Your Majesty, it’s urgent.”
“I’m so sorry, Boris; I’ll have to end our session for the day.” Boris nods, understands easily, and gives a brief valediction before Wille closes his laptop and walks to the door, frustrated as he rips it open. He is surprised to find not only Minou but her entire team as well.
“I’m so sorry, Your Majesty, but we have a bit of a situation, and I think you’ll want to be made aware of it as quickly as possible.” She reaches for the folded newspaper under her arm and pauses before pulling it out, almost appearing nervous.
(Or, they've all been through quite a bit working up to Wille's coronation, and it's time to cross the finish line.)
