Summary
Sneaking the girlfriend you're not supposed to have into your apartment while your dad is home, is not, as Cynthia has found, an easy task. Since Lydia had a rehearsal of some sort, and since it was Friday, the girls had figured it would be safe for Lydia to come over late into the night and tell her parents the rehearsal ran late, simple enough!
What Cynthia didn't account for, was her dad getting home from the shop early.

Summary
Cynthia never felt like she was normal- or that she fit in. That's to say the least. Except that she’d never considered what her differences from other people actually were. Most of the time? She tried not to think about it, because it just made her sad. Instead, she’d find other ways to live out her fantasies. She’d learned to people-watch from Edward when they were in the fourth grade.
