In S3Ep6 we saw how Cleo found Pope at the marina and helped him not to shoot Rafe. JJ ran towards Tannyhill in search of Pope. We never saw him again until John B drives to his house.
What if Heyward found him? I HATE how hungry and alone JJ is for most of S3 after they return to OBX so who better to help than Heyward? I love Pope’s family.

Summary
This is the 4th installment of my “Harboring Heywards” one shot series. A few people have requested that I write about Heyward helping JJ after the sinking of the Phantom. I know it’s been done before but this is my take on it. What Heyward sees in the tent causes him to remember a specific moment from the past where he had to intervene to help a younger JJ. I tied in some references to my other longer, multi-chapter stories in this for those of you who have enjoyed those pieces (a favorite stuffie from the past is mentioned to name one).

Summary
The whole month of October, Halloween in particular, on Kildare Island is always a pain in Heyward’s ass. He has enough to worry about with Pope losing his scholarship and his wild friends. Once again he finds his wife piling food onto a plate for JJ Maybank. This sparks a memory of the beginning of his son’s friendship and a Halloween from his past when he realized what the Maybank kid’s life is actually like.

Welcome to another installment of my “Harboring Heywards” series! This one was inspired by yet another rewatch (I’m obsessed I know! The nonfilming drought is killing me).
In S2E6, the Pogues are joking about Pope being royalty and him moving into Tannyhill. It’s quick but JJ says, “I’m in cause I don’t have a place to stay.” Once again Outer Banks just glazes over his homelessness and Luke being in jail again. I created this scene to address it. Unfortunately JJ has to have a run in with the dreaded Deputy Plumb in order for him to actually get some help. Heywards to the rescue as usual!Series

Summary
Set before S1 when John B is struggling to deal with his father’s disappearance. JJ is trying desperately to hold his friend together after Peterkin presents him with the Presumption of Death paperwork. It’s a day filled with self-destructive choices as the only means available to save his friend from himself and the impending doom of DCS.
