Summary
She’s entirely, utterly, woefully defeated. Completely hooked on Clorinde, her cock, her fingers, her muscles and her smile and everything in between them, and she’s so happy to accept it. Defeat is good when your legs are wrapped around your girlfriend, hanging by the edge of consciousness as she fucks you from high tide to hell. If there’s something greater beyond, then she’ll find out, and Navia would be a better person for it.
Or: They're in love, to the detriment of their neighbors.

Summary
Navia scowls at her. “You’re not funny.”
“I’m not trying to be,” She says back. Before Navia can say anything else, Clorinde repositions her legs, forcing her ankles around her neck and pulling her totally against their mattress, until her back is fully on the sheets and Clorinde’s towering over her. “You think you want this more than me? I’ve dreamed of having you like this—as my wife, as the mother of my children. If you want a hundred kids, we’ll have a hundred kids. And I’ll figure out everything else—no ifs, ands, or buts.”
Because Clorinde is fucking crazy, first and foremost. She’s arrogant and stupid, and she’s been alone for so long that maybe having that place carved for her—as a parent to a baby, their baby, who they'll love and protect for the rest of their lives—maybe that’s all she’s ever wanted. Navia has it wrong, then. They’ll talk about it later, surely; when Clorinde has her head screwed back on again, when she’s more sane and less ready to fuck the thoughts out of her.
Or: Navia's not sure they're on the same page about wanting kids. She is proven incredibly wrong.

Summary
Wriothesley gives her a look. “So you’re saying being an attorney isn’t your life’s passion?”
“I’m saying arguing all day with people doesn’t make my top ten lists of things to do,” she says.
“I bet that list is short.”
It is. Clorinde doesn’t dignify him with a response, which, in hindsight, is kind of an answer already.
Wriothesley hums at the silence, and then, probably because he couldn’t wrap his head around it, asks her: “So if you could do just one thing for the rest of your life?”
She doesn’t even need to think about it. “I’d just spend all my time being with my girls一until they get sick of me, at least.”
“Really?”
“Yeah,” she says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, “really.”
OR: Clorinde and Navia are expecting another baby. What could possibly go wrong?
