“Oh, dear,” Harry says as the Doctor bounds away, leaving nothing but powdery sugary fingerprints on the library door. His eyebrows are knotted and Sarah wants to put her thumb there to smooth out the crease. “Do you think he’s annoyed?”
Sarah considers for a moment, which means she also gets to enjoy the feeling of Harry’s thumb through one of her belt-loops. “No,” she says, “And if he is, I’ll speak to him.”
“Shouldn’t I be talking to him?” Harry turns pink under her enquiring look as Sarah wriggles off his lap, “I mean - man to man, sort of thing, if I kissed his lady?”
“Harry,” Sarah says sweetly, and takes his chin between finger and thumb, giving him a good shake, “Firstly - I am not anyone’s lady, the Doctor’s or yours.” She makes him nod agreement. “Good, good. Secondly, what on Earth makes you think I haven’t stolen his man?”

Summary
The hand is back on his face. Not his mouth now, just up the side of his neck, and the Doctor is rubbing his thumb along the long edge of Harry’s jaw. His palm is hot and Harry swears he can feel the double pulse against his own, surely leaping in his skin. “Harry,” the Doctor says sincerely, “I want to have another whisky. Then, I want you to have another whisky. Then, I want to have you. Do you object?”

“You live in a time machine,” the Brigadier replies, voice tinny through the phone, “I know you could have been here yesterday if you wanted to. What on Earth’s more important than this?”
“Many things,” the Doctor grunts. His hips buck a little, without prompting from Harry, who wasn’t expecting it; he gags.
Sarah ducks her face under the console, smirking at him. Harry, who’s so hard in his trousers it’s verging on painful, glares back at her. She wriggles a hand at him and mimes stroking an invisible cock, her tongue playfully shoved in her cheek.

The Doctor likes to be watched. Sarah Jane likes to machinate. Harry Sullivan is literally just here to have a good time.

Summary
Here there are as many candles as elsewhere on the island, in their little golden dishes. Some of them smell faintly floral, lavender and rose; Sarah keeps her bra on, and the lace, and lets her toes dangle out the side of the tub. “You’re a fool,” she accuses without any heat, the water lapping deliciously at her stomach, “Take your shirt off.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he snaps off a crisp salute and does so, flinging it on top of the robe, “And I suppose you want my trousers, too?”
“If you’d be so kind.”

Summary
But when Harry gets into the TARDIS he feels hotter than ever; he sighs, reaching the central console and slumping against it, wishing the metal could take some of the heat away; usually, it’s cold to the touch. This will pass. It must be a sort of sudden heatstroke, or something like that. Manageable.
“You do look quite hot,” the Doctor says, suddenly looming over him. He presses the back of his hand to Harry’s forehead and it’s all Harry can do not to whimper - the console might be doing nothing, but the Doctor is wonderfully cold. His hand leeches all the unpleasantness out, and he really could just stand here… forever. “Did you eat anything out there?”
“I’m not actually an idiot,” Harry says, his eyes shut.

Maxil clears his throat, swallows, “Yes. Well, Doctor, the problem is - do you remember your last visit to Skaro?”
The Doctor keeps the shudder from being visible. He’s not likely to forget it, ever; losing Sarah, then Harry, then both of them, and the sickness in his gut as he held two wires, as he contemplated that genocide; the pain of Kaled torture, physical and mental - he’d talked until he was sick, looking at Harry and Sarah strapped to those metal chairs by forehead and arms and wrists. Davros calling himself a kindred spirit. The Thals telling him the dome was destroyed, and that last madcap escape, and activating the Time Ring and promising himself he’d never let it happen again.
“Remember it?” The Doctor manages, as his other two look warily over their pie at each other, “Yes, I remember it.”

Summary
Harry shuts his eyes. “The Doctor is free,” he sounds like he’s reminding himself more than her; “He’s coming for us.”
“Yes,” Sarah says.
She couldn’t sound more convincing if she tried.
When Harry and Sarah are kidnapped by an insular, warlike race living on a valuable mineral moon, the Doctor is fighting the clock to rescue them. But the aliens have a strange technology - a collar that compels the wearer to do as they are told - and Harry and Sarah might just lose themselves before they're found again.

"Right," Benton nods, then blinks. "No?"
Harry's gloom is all-encompassing. "I'm feeling sorry for myself," he says, because he is self-aware and works on himself and has read almost all of Freud and even a little bit of Jung on a sleepy Sunday afternoon, "And feeling sorry for oneself is not attractive."
"Oh, I dunno," says Benton, and tips his empty glass up. "Want another?"
