Summary
Xuan Lei is an ancient god, and a beloved one—but mostly by ghosts.
Humans do worship it, in hopes of moving on peacefully and having a goodnext life, but their following is stable more than it will ever grow.
Heavenly Officials either know it personally, or think its existence is nothing more than a rumor. There is no in-between, there.
But oh, the ghosts. They love it. It has saved many of them, and allowed others to pass on safely. Even Ghost Kings regard it with respect.
Even Qi Rong cares for it....maybe too much. Is that why he comes back?
