So really all Rule Eight is doing is keeping him from choosing someone his own age,

Summary
This isn’t like Austria 2019, when Charles couldn’t even look at Max after he’d been pushed off the track in the last lap. Max is all smiles, not a single care in the world that both of their floors are definitely damaged beyond belief due to running each other off the track.
Three times each, no penalties deployed.
Charles manages to spray Max in the face, who’s eyes close as his entire body jerks, curling slightly in on himself. This raises his arms and Charles gets another eyeful of champagne. He yelps, and some of the sparking wine drips down into his mouth.
Max and Charles both open their eyes at the same time, and dissolve into laughter.

Charles never intended to hide his designation from anyone. He is proud to be an omega, and will tell that to anyone who asks.
At least he will tell that to anyone who asks, but so far, no one has ever asked him how it feels to be one of four omegas on the current grid. The only question Charles gets from journalists about omegas, is how he—as an ‘alpha’—feels about racing three omegas on the grid.
The answer, for the record, is: great.

Max swallows.He’d forgotten that was coming out soon, now he supposes.
“Of course.”
“Producer: Sebastian Vettel, oh Pierre Gasly is listed as a co-producer again. And Emilian is in the writing credits.” He blinks. “Guess that’s why it sounds like Leclerc’s first album, with Emilian and Pierre working with him again. Do you think he’s been talking to his ex?”
Max snorts. “No.”
