Summary
"Are you okay, Prince Seungmin?"
"I'm going to vomit." Seungmin was very blunt and uncaring for whatever punishment he might get for it.
"Oh?" There was surprise in the king's voice, "Was it the food? Is something upsetting your stomach?"
"Your courtier's words are twisted and vile and I am sick of listening to them talk to me like I'm an object for them to look at and lust over. At least have the decency to talk behind my back."
"We've been here for an acceptable time. Would you like to retire to our chambers?"
Seungmin snorted, "That eager to bed me?"
"I-" The king started but Seungmin didn't let him get even a syllable out.
"It's going to have to happen tonight anyway. Might as well get it done with as soon as possible." Seungmin dropped his napkin onto his plate, before pushing back his chair and standing up, "Let's go." He was trying to push through it as fast as he could before his fake confidence crumbled away.

Summary
"Who just left your study?" Chan asked, not caring for any formalities. He had something he wanted and he was going to cut to the chase.
Changbin blinked in brief confusion, not expecting that question. "That was my advisor, Seungmin."
"No." Chan knew there was more, "He wore your family crest. There is no record of an omega in your immediate family. Who is he?"
"He is my advisor." Changbin pushed back, "He wears my family crest because he is also my brother, but he is skilled as an advisor."
"I want him."
"What?"
Chan let out a snort, "You know why I came here, for an engagement." He looked briefly towards the door as if he could see the omega, Seungmin, beyond it. "You can keep your Felix. I want Seungmin."

"Seungmin, is that your mark?" Changbin voiced the question that everyone else was too afraid to ask themselves.
"Is there an issue with it?" His voice was filled with contempt at the question, at the accusations, at the entire scenario.
"No it's just–"
"Surprising. It's surprising." Felix admitted.
Even Seungmin's parents looked shocked. Seungmin knew his father's own neck bore no mark of his mother. Changbin probably never planned to carry Felix's mark either. Yet here was their king with Seungmin's mark on his neck.
So much of his life had been left behind. He thought he had to kill the old him for the new life demanded of him. Now he was getting the opportunity to take it all back, literally and figuratively. Breathe a new life into his past. But it was easy. Being married to the king was easy. Loving him couldn't be much harder.
"I would appreciate if everyone here was nicer to my mate." Seungmin bit out.

Summary
Now they were eating lunch in one of the small lounge areas. Seungmin isn’t a fan of eating in the large dining hall all the time. For being such a large room, it always feels too suffocating. The familiarity he enjoys with the king feels stripped away and all that's left is the formal political atmosphere. The lounge rooms are better, plus it's much easier to steal food off of Chan's plate when they are this close.
Chan wants to be productive in some form, but Seungmin knows he really doesn't know what to do to be productive, which brings Seungmin back to one of the questions from yesterday. There has to be a different way to go about this with the court–a different way to get them to agree to ban the omega bounty hunters. Perhaps there's something in the archives about the old meetings from previous courts.
It's been just over a month since they visited Seungmin's family and the small pin that he bought for Chan now sits just over his heart when he always wears it. Seungmin zeros in on it and remembers the conversation with the alpha vendor about old traditions and how things have changed since then. Which also brings up the other reasons Seungmin wants to visit the royal archives.
