Summary
Shinano dreams of a time when she is a student – a senior close to graduation. Among her peers, she is one of the popular ones, but no one is left out at Tengoku High. Together with her cherished friends and kind instructors, they study, play, and build hope for the years sure to follow. To Shinano, it’s the kind of life she yearns for, and hopes she never has to leave. It’s the kind of life free of violence and anguish, where the only conflicts are bickering over poor habits or stale jokes. To Shinano, it’s paradise.
... But Shinano’s dreams are never her own, and all dreams – no matter how long – cease. After she wakes, the commander mobilizes the fleet against a Siren incursion. Though they repel the attack, they also make an astonishing discovery nearby: a pod housing a young woman.
They bring it back to base. The commander’s research team wastes no time in its analysis and unearthing of its contents.
Yet it’s only Shinano’s face that morphs into shock – for the person inside is someone from Tengoku High.
And, as the “Dreamwaker”, Shinano soon uncovers the truth about “paradise”.
