Tessa, the future leader of the Elliot Herd.
A female deer fawn with a heart of gold and a fascination with the deer like creatures known as Silevanis, whom her parents hate.
Much to her parents, and most of her herds, disgust she befriends some and brings them into the herd.
Unknown to her, trouble is brewing.
Even as little Cyn weakens slowly, a terrible force awaits a new host.
And Tessa has no idea that soon enough, her happy life will shatter.
But for now, she gets to be a normal fawn.
