Summary
“That started on Thursday but I can be wrong. I didn’t really mark days as they passed, was too busy doing nothing of much importance you see. The usual. A TV show here, a book there. Normal stuff. Helped with post exam exhaustion. It caught me by surprise, how suddenly it all started, no warning beforehand. It just... Was there one day.
The sensation.”

Summary
"On the last visit of that sort they found kittens, solely by the sound of their meowing. They were lying on an old jacket, on the bottom of the two concrete rings placed on one another, with a tiny ladder inside of it. To an adult eye it would have been obvious someone put them there on purpose, was feeding them too but children are another matter."

Summary
"I just wish I knew why I’m writing this in the first place. Why I’m scribbling these words into paper, with my eyes wet and blurry and fingers shaking so hard the words are almost illegible. I’m not sad. I don’t feel sad. Why would I be, when I’m finally content? When for once in my life I belong?"

Summary
"When you’re a child your memory doesn’t have that consistency that characterizes the adult’s mind, so every time you try to go back to your childhood, there are only tiniest fragments that cannot be put in a clear chain of events. Most of my fragments have something to do with my grandfather. I was his favorite, you see. That’s not up for a debate, my entire family knows that. There’s really no competition. I know that’s not a thing to be smug about but my grandpa had grandsons. Plenty of those. And I still outran every single one of these motherfuckers."

Summary
"When the world ended Bianca was on a tiny balcony of the apartment she was sharing with her parents and a grandmother, where she just escaped to have a smoke. The two of them, her grandma and her, were arguing the whole morning, as is usual for them. What was that about this time? Did she wear her headphones when cooking? Maybe. That doesn’t seem as important as the simple fact they were screaming at each other."
