Part 2 of The Shape of Wanting series. Sequel to Before We Were Brave.
Modern AU Franchaela, with characterisation kept close to canon. All of the Bridgertons will make an appearance.
Francesca Bridgerton thought Spain was over. She thought Michaela Stirling belonged to the holiday: to sunlit streets, late-night bars, warm skin, dangerous smiles, and the kind of wanting Francesca had never quite known what to do with before.
Then her dog gets hurt, and the vet who walks through the clinic door is Michaela.
They find each other again in London, but the reunion is far from simple. Francesca has questions she never asked. Michaela has grief she never explained. Between them sit missed messages, wrong assumptions, and all the things they were not brave enough to say before goodbye.
Spain was supposed to be temporary.
