Tom is so tired, these days.
The world is something that is both never ending and always ending, caught paralysed in a state of decay that he keeps making it through. Every day there is just another face gone from the group, another life ended before its time, and each step that he takes feels like wading through thick mud, a river that is drying up and leaving only the remnants of beauty in its wake.
