Hotori beamed, practically glowing with delight. “That’s what I like to hear. Home is very important. Everyone needs a place to belong, don’t they…?” She leaned further in, bracing herself on the bed with her free hand, her hair spilling over his shoulder and brushing his cheek. “And your bed? Do you like your new bed? Is it soft enough, or should I find something even better…?”
Zero swallowed. Hotori’s tender palm was stroking slow, spiraling circles over his stomach now, sometimes drifting downward, always retreating at the last second. “It’s… perfect, honestly. It’s the softest bed I’ve slept in. Ever. At least, uh, I think so…”
Hotori hummed, as if considering this very carefully. “Good, good… a soft bed for a soft boy… I can’t have you tossing and turning all night, can I?” She nuzzled the side of his neck, the tips of her hair tickling his jaw. “You’re so tense, though… Maybe I should help you loosen up…”
