Summary
The “little break” that Gloves mentioned involved exploring the fields until the silhouette of a cottage rose from a dip in the land. At first, Hachi mistook it for a trick of the light. Something along the lines of a mirage that he’d read in old texts. But as they drew closer (courtesy of Gloves continuing to drag him along), he could make out more intricate details that came into view.
There was something so fascinating, Hachi thought, to experience what it’s like to live in the past. Sure, the building has long since been abandoned, but he’s confident he can pick up the pieces left behind. Only the lower windows were boarded up, and the roof was just missing a few tiles. He could only wonder what events had led it to such a sorry state.

Mitsuami looked at the crowds of people celebrating on the streets again. There were so many other team leaders out there. They must be much more experienced at these sorts of things. Unlike her.
Maybe she should just stay back here. She doesn’t want to ruin the mood.
There was the movement of something besides her. Turning her head, Mitsuami saw a glimpse of aqua-blue bangs with red tips. Red eyes stared back at her.
