  Summary

  The first war is over. Rhysand has risen to power as the High Lord of the Night Court. To celebrate the execution of a trade treaty, Amarantha invites all the High Lords of Prythian to her residence Under the Mountain. What they don't know is that Amarantha has never settled for peace. She seeks power, and she will take what she desires by force.

  This fic will give life to Rhysand's journey beginning on the evening of Amarantha's damning Masquerade.

  "There you are. I've been looking for you."

  Rhysand has finally come face to face with Feyre after years parsing through strange visions of her; her dreams, snippets of her life, her fears. Now, she is on his side of the Wall, a compulsory guest in the Spring Court. Rhysand knows who she is, but he also knows what her presence in Spring could mean for the liberation of Prythian. Now, he must walk the impossibly fine line between playing his painstakingly cultivated role of Amarantha's henchman and whore, and keeping this human woman live at all costs. Even if that cost is his own life.

  *This is technically a re-write of ACOTAR from Rhysand's POV. However, it is the second part of an ongoing series. The first part details Rhysand's 49 years UTM. Consider reading Part I: The Vicious Hollow Below, before embarking on this story, as it brings much needed context to a lot of the subtle (and not-so-subtle) changes to canon.
