He knew a little bit about most of them, but no one thought to warn him about one Clint Barton. Somehow, the man went from ‘some guy he fought with’ to ‘friend’ to one of the most important people in Tony’s life, all in a short span of time. And Tony wouldn’t have it any other way.

Once, a long time ago, Tony had had a different family. One that he loved and that he thought loved him. All it took was one afternoon and too many secrets and that happy family he thought he had came tumbling down around him.
Now, two centuries later, he's not the same terrified boy that was banished from his home. He's made a new life for himself, a new family - albeit a small one - and for the most part, he's happy. There are things he wants that he knows he'll never have, but he's always known that was the way it would be.
But now suddenly the new life that he's built for himself is being invaded by his old one. Secrets that Tony had kept buried deep are coming to light and once more threatening to destroy everything he holds dear. Will he be able to weather the storm, or is he once more going to find himself suffering under the hands of those that once claimed to love him, cast out and forced to run? Or will he finally get a chance to actually be happy?

Secrets had been a part of Tony’s life from the very start. From the day he was born, a tiny hatchling curled against the scales of his mother’s chest, secrets had been whispered into his ear. Never show them who you are, was the first thing he ever learned. Never let them see. Even before he knew how to do more than draw breath, he was taught the magic to make him hide, to keep his real heritage protected away from the rest of the world.
He was the only dragon to be born of Midgard – Earth – that he knew of. There were no others out there like them. His mother, a beautiful Light dragon, made sure he knew all the stories about his kind and their lives on the other realms. She told him the history of the Light dragons found of Alfheim, and of the Fire dragons of Svartalfheim, where his father came from.
Tony soaked it all in like a sponge. He absorbed every bit of their history, every magic lesson his mother taught him.
But nothing had sunk in as deep as those earliest words. Those, Tony carried in his heart. Never show them who you are. Never let them see.
It was a motto that Tony Stark shaped his life around.

To most of the world, the Stark name was known for its genius. For the inventions that they came out with, lightyears ahead of the rest of the world, and the sheer genius that showed through. Howard Stark had been a brilliant man, and his son seemed to keep working to outshine him with each new invention released to the market.
To the rest of the world, a part of the world that so few even knew existed, the Stark name was known for so much more. They were known for breeding some of the strongest Familiars to ever bond with a witch.

Based on the question "What would the MCU be like if Tony not only had magic, but a family around him right from the start that CARES?"
The world we live in is a lie.
That was a truth that Tony Stark had grown up knowing. He’d been raised aware of the world around him in a way that few people were. He knew about the human world – full of the mundane, people who went about their lives with no knowledge of the truth, who never saw what really existed underneath the masks that people wore. He knew about the Shadow world – a place full of horror and beauty, demons and angels, and a war as old as time.
And he knew about the Downworld – the monsters and demons, werewolves and vampires, creatures that were thought to be stories, and magic.Tony grew up knowing about all three worlds, and how to survive in each one of them. He learned how to do business with any type of being he might come across, and how to play the part of a diplomat no matter the attitude of whoever he encountered. He knew how to play his part, to be who he needed to be when absolutely necessary, and more often than not choosing not to give a damn about it all.
All that changed with one trip to the desert.
