A man found himself trapped inside a many eyed beast before he gained the will to claw his way out and move forward into an ever present void. A void cascading a world where nothing's taken for granted. Where certainty is absent in the sights, sounds, smells, and feeling of every corporeal facsimile of objects found in the real world. Whether it be a house, a table, or even the very cobblestone Jazz walks upon. And who is Jazz? It's but a name that a new friend, Kaufman, another 'abstract' that finds himself unable to reliably recall his own name nor his place of origin, called him as he parsed through memories he himself had endured as a 'Ringer' reassembled him from the same many eyed form he happened to attain through a process known as abstraction. Many other brain scans have endured such a process and they populate this knew virtual world known as Abstract City. Now Jazz must journey forward, though Theo, the Mad King, says he may never know the way back, to find his original identity and who this strange woman he sees in his dreams communicating with him to 'find his way home'.

When the Circus starts to break down due to factors outside their control, some of the Circus members decide to travel to the edge of the void to seek help, and potentially even insight into what abstraction really is. -

Nobody really believed that unabstraction was possible. Nobody...except for Pomni.
Jax's words rang in her head every day. "I don't wanna go." His final plea, his last desperate grasp at life. It didn't matter what he'd done, he deserved to live just as much as they did. She wasn't going to let it be ignored.
Now that her plans have worked out better than anyone could have expected...Jax has to grapple with the fact that he's conscious again. Not only that, but every horrible thing he's done is getting a second chance to eat at him.
All that's left for him is a group of people who care for him, and a lot of apologies that need to be made.

Christine hesitated. Nobody had believed in the existence of the circus so far. She had talked about it briefly the start of her therapy journey but stopped as soon as she realised the therapist very obviously thought she was crazy.
"I don't know what to say, really." Christine shrugged.
"Anything you want, Christine. This is a safe space." Christine didn't feel really safe.
What did the therapist want her to say? That she still had nightmares about abstracting? Losing her mind and being sent away in a dark hole full of nothing but glowing colourful eyes, just like Kaufmo before her? That she couldn't fall asleep at night because there was a chance she could wake up there again? That she could still see her cartoon jester face in the mirror after a particularly stressful day? That despite everything that had happened she still couldn't be mad at Caine for what he did to her because he was just a bunch of codes and pixels?
She didn't want to say any of those things. She knew Dr. Wilson wouldn't understand. Nobody could. Nobody except...well...but that didn't matter. They weren't here.
