One with a crave to feel something besides the unending waves of regret that wash over him and leave him drowning. With no right to complain, and nobody to listen; he makes his choice. He was never that hungry anyways.
Sure, he feels hungry, but it's just the pain of it. The idea of eating repulsive. It's sad how long he's had this issue, and he only now decided that he should act on it. Barely having a full meal everyday, and now, he hasn't eaten at all. No more wasting resources on something everyone hates.

But what they don't know (yet) is that she is an angel, but has shown signs that she is indeed not normal.
