Geo never was fully comfortable during his time in Teora. He has been threatened with death more than he would imagine, has gotten into dozens of fights, multiple of which nearly ended in his or someone else's death, and he has to hide who he is from everyone around him except two (Technically three) people. The situation is enough to make anyone go mad.
Still, it's better than back home. At least here, he has Ami, someone who cares and loves him. Something he wished he had back home. At least she can make him happy and distract him from the negativity.
And yet, everyone can still snap.

Huge fan more modern fanfic tropes and aus applied to more vintage fandoms that don't really have much if any of that. this is VERY fun and comes with the author's great passion for the characters that i've found in all the fics i've read by this author.

Honestly would not have believed a crossover between Blake's 7 and DWJ's Chrestomanci series could even work, but this is beautifully done - from the world building to the characterisation.
Note that although the series is marked as incomplete, it doesn't end on a cliffhanger but at a point which is a satisfying ending in itself.

Blake seemed to think Avon's advice was irritating, restrictive, and absolutely necessary before he could make any major decision. Rojer wished he had a running count as to how many of their sentences to him began with some variant of 'your father thinks'.

Avon arrives on Gauda Prime not knowing any of this, and gets talked into trying to help Blake. Blake has other plans. He may be insane, but he's not going to stay a prisoner, not going to let anyone break Avon. He'd kill Avon first. Freedom or death, those are the only options.
Avon opts for freedom, and they wind up in the wilderness. With dirt. And rain. And snakes.
Not really Avon's kind of place.
