A mash-up of FF, KH, SO, and Grandia... in space.
Many generations ago, each of the Advanced Planets throughout the Omega Galaxy were in a constant state of war that threatened to rip apart the universe. To end the chaos, the planet Nede (once thought to be a wandering energy body) revealed itself, and then used it's incredible technology to take over. It seemed like a blessing, but their rule was strict. After some time, the planets felt their freedom had been taken and threatened to rebel. Nede, to avoid another disaster, worked on a compromise--something that would allow them to loosen their grip, but still ensure peace...
Star Rangers, a non-military enforcement team that could act as the buffer between planets. Each unit would be stationed on Nede, but would be run by a vast array of officers from all across the Galaxy.
A set of laws were agreed upon, and since then things seemed to have worked... Mostly.

The adventurer was something of a surprise. The crew seemed as excited as Cloud and Marlene at their impromptu guest's arrival, despite an apparent familiarity with the famed adventurer. Cloud almost missed their arrival, only by stages realising the distant sound was a commotion up on deck. Cloud anticipated a tall figure with long silver hair; just like his hero Sephiroth. Instead they found the crew clustered around - and in the process of asking a thousand questions of - a girl with long brown hair. The Adventurer was maybe a year older than him; thanks to another crew member, Cloud learned her name was Aeris.
Cloud's adventure had not been all he hoped for. But the arrival of a fully-fledged Adventurer opens the door to something far more satisfying.

Lilly had been just as old as Justin when she assumed the moniker of Lilly the Skull. Just fourteen when she stole a boat and began a career in piracy with the two sisters Vivian and Charlotte. A relatively short career given what happened, but anything had seemed better than their dull life of laundry work. Despite her room-mates' constant praise for her culinary skills, and her own day-dreams of running her own business, Lilly lacked even a fraction of the necessary funds to begin the Seagull Restaurant. She smiled as she recalled the memory of the time they truly changed their careers. How they crept out of the dorm room and into the night, each now wearing their pirate garb, assembled in frustratingly slowly gained pieces.
