Young Link is a boy living in the Kokiri Forest who does not have a fairy companion of his own. Yet, when he is called to venture outside his home and the only world he's ever known, he realizes that not only is the land in danger, he is the one that must save it. Along the way, he comes across a young girl who claims to be a friend of the Princess he has been assigned to meet by the Great Deku Tree. But despite her appearance, she's not what she seems. And, when the truth is finally revealed, he will do anything to find her again, even after seven long years...

We all know the story of the Hero of Time. At least... up to the end of Majora's Mask. But what ever became of the great hero after his return to Hyrule?
After defeating Ganon and being sent back in time by Princess Zelda to live out his stolen childhood, Link was disoriented as he tried to grapple with the fact that everything he'd done to save the kingdom had been all but erased. The Hyrulean Royal family still regards him as a hero, but not one of Link's deeds truly followed him into his own time. Since learning he was a Hylian, he'd moved away from the safety of Kokiri Forest. A kind man he'd met at the moats of Hyrule Castle so long ago offered him a job and a place to stay at his ranch in the center of Hyrule Field. This is where Link met and fell in love with the rancher's daughter, Malon.
Now the young hero is grown, with a family of his own and new responsibilities to a kingdom that nearly forgot him. But when old nightmares begin to return, he seeks out the guidance of the princess hoping her own prophetic dreams could offer some explanation.
Dark clouds form over the distant peaks of Hyrule's mountains, an omen forewarning the collision of realms and a new threat our hero must conquer.
