Summary
Nathaniel has spent years surviving the Moriyama court by enduring Prince Riko’s cruelty and keeping his world as small as possible. Mostly, that means Jean and their promise to survive together. For a long time, it had been enough to get through one day and then the next.
But Riko’s experiments on Nathaniel start to go right in horrifying ways and Nathaniel realizes he only has two choices- break the one promise that has kept him and Jean alive by leaving him behind, or stay and become a weapon Riko can use to destroy the country.
The only person who might be able to help is an insolent Druid elf locked deep in Evermore’s dungeons.

Aaron and Neil always did everything together. They had the same friends, volunteered at the same nursing home, took the same extracurricular classes, and sat in the same classrooms most of the time. It had been like this ever since they were put together on a group project in elementary school, back when they couldn't read or write. Now they could, and they were still inseparable.
No wonder that when Aaron was dared in his second year of high school that he wouldn’t last at the school radio station, he dragged Neil along with him. They made it through the whole year there and not only won fifty dollars each, they also kicked off their now senior year at Palmetto High School as the hosts of Foxes Calling.
Meanwhile, Aaron’s twin brother, Andrew returns to town. Andrew never really seemed to take a liking to Neil. Or at least that’s how Neil remembered it from the last time he saw him, before he transferred to a boarding school. Now Andrew is back in Palmetto for his senior year, and Neil knows trouble is just around the corner.
Trouble that starts with a message in the Foxes Calling’s inbox about just how terrible one of the hosts’ music taste is.

Alternative AU where Andrew escapes Drake’s abuse at fourteen and finds a not-so-temporary home with David Wymack.
Without spoiling too much, the story will touch on some very heavy topics such as sex trafficking, rape, and its aftermath. However, the story mainly focuses on Andrew’s healing throughout and asks the question of who Andrew could have become if he had never gone to juvie or been put on court-mandated medication.
Andrew will not be portrayed as a psychopath like some stories choose to portray him, but rather as a character who went through hell and is trying his best to survive it. The story will mainly focus on Andrew and Wymack’s relationship, as well as his gradual friendship with the Exy players and his growing love for the game. Neil and the other Foxes will appear later in the story, so if you’re looking for a major Andreil focus, this probably isn’t the story for you.
Lots of hurt, but also lots of comfort, because Nora really likes putting her characters through the worst and we all need a little comfort afterward.

In December of 2023, Kevin Day was on top of the world. He had the fame and the potential to become a world-class athlete; if you look past the abuse, he was doing great. He even had a gorgeous girl by his side, a girl who knew him so deeply, had touched his skin, and had invaded his heart. A girl whose only peace was found under his touch. And then he left her behind.
It's now May of 2025, summer has begun, and after finally winning a championship, the Foxes are ready to relax. Until Palmetto State University decides it needs more publicity and sets out to start a women's soccer team for the 2025-2026 school year. And they want a team just like Wymack's foxes, all underdogs, criminals, and headcases.
Wymack and the Foxes are enlisted to help recruit, transport, and mentor twelve girls.
Kevin isn't pleased to be given a summer job, but he suddenly gets really interested when Wymack opens up a player file to a familiar face.

Neil’s fingers twitched against Andrew’s sleeve, the fabric rough under his touch. He stared at their shoes—Andrew’s scuffed work boots, his own ratty sneakers—anything to avoid looking at the test again. “What if—” His voice cracked. He swallowed hard. “What if I can’t do this?”
Andrew’s hand settled on the back of Neil’s neck, warm and firm. “Then you don’t.” He said it like it was simple, like the answer had been waiting in the space between them all along. Neil closed his eyes. The weight of the words settled over him, heavy but not suffocating. Andrew had always been like this, unflinching in his honesty, steady in his choices. It was one of the things Neil admired about him.
“And if I want to?”
Andrew’s thumb traced idle circles against Neil’s skin. “Then we figure it out.” Andrew’s fingers drifted from Neil’s neck to card through his hair, tugging lightly at the tangled strands.
Or: Pregnancy was never something Neil imagined for himself, but now that it was his reality, the decision didn’t seem as simple as he thought it would be.

So basically Todd transfers from Balincrest to Welton for various reasons (I don't want to spoiler anything, oh wait it's in the tags nevermind) and meets Neil and the other poets. He REALLY struggles with his mental health but maybe only maybe, there is someone who can help him get better. Nathaniel Wessinksi can't go back to the Nest.
But he can't stay with the foxes either.With Riko trying to get Neil back to the Ravens, and back under his thumb, Neil is left with three options. Going back to the Ravens and dying, staying with the Foxes and dying- or running far, far away.
But Andrew had promised Kevin and Jean to protect him. Annoyingly, Neil- the kleiner Hase- is making it increasingly more and more difficult with each passing hour.
TLDR: Neil makes a promise to Ichirou that Kevin, Jean, and himself are better investments if they play with the Foxes than with the Ravens. But with time running out and Andrew stopping every one of his escape plans, Neil has until the end of the championships to convince himself and Ichirou he's better off alive.
DISCLAIMER: this fic is very heavily influenced by Die Free or Die a Failure by Mickey_99 (if you haven't read this fic, it's amazing!) and The Sunshine Court (where Raven Neil goes through the same healing process as Jean.)

(This fic takes place during season 2, 3 and 4.) You spend your days running around camp. The kids driving you insane, until you and David start to grow feelings for one another.
