Weiss shoots upright.
It’s silent, utterly and completely, silent.
She huffs, gasps, in and out, over and over and over as she attempts to unscramble the mess that is her brain.
It’s dark, but not as dark as her room was, and her bed is noticeably less cold.
She keeps huffing for breath, for some reason, it feels as if her heart is attempting to escape her chest, like each heaving motion can’t bring in enough oxygen for her lungs. She gasps and splays her hands across her chest in an attempt to feel the rising and falling and convince herself that she’s okay, that she’s all in one piece.
But she can’t hear anything else.

Regina knew she could’ve just poofed the first aid kit into her hand in the living room but she really, truly needed the air and space to clear her head. Her mind was fogging up with thoughts of long legs and big green eyes and wide smiles and she needed to get a grip before she did something stupid. She had barely breached acquaintances with one of the few people in town who didn’t glare daggers at her when she walked into a room, the last thing she needed to do was something asinine like develop feelings for the girl.
