Summary
It was Tallgeese's job to make sure their students succeed, even though they themself struggled to find purpose. Teaching was all they had left. Wing's nervous breakdown under their supervision felt like the last straw.
Tallgeese resolved they would be responsible for Wing's recovery if only to make up for their shortcomings, despite feeling out of their depth in counseling Wing. Nothing like this had ever happened before. They were failing their student.
Except that wasn't what Wing thought at all. Far from it.

Well, that fucking blows.
But hey, she’s alive again! Dude, the first not so cool point-she’s in the anime she last watched like two years ago (maybe?) Okay, she can deal.
Second uncool moment-she’s a boy now. This is so uncool. She can deal, though. It’s all good. But the thing that reeks the most?
Did she mention that she’s DUO.FUCKING. MAXWELL? She, well, he has a giant robot and will kill people with it. Okay, saving the universe? Seriously, why did this have to happen to him?
He’ll do what the plot says (and tell it to bite Deathscythe’s shiny metal-). Watch as he deals with the horror of going through a second puberty, deals with girls becoming hard to understand, and deals with four other crazy pilots.
Oh, and saving the universe from itself. Add to that the horrors of PTSD, war and death and he is affected deeply.
Oh, and somehow now he has a sibling who wasn’t there in the original script, yayyy. (He does not pilot a Mobile Suit.)

Summary
Wing never expected to survive their self-detonation sequence. It should have been easy to sacrifice themself for the sake of the space colonies, yet their last moments were filled with terror.
Tallgeese should have been the enemy Wing was tasked to destroy; yet here they were, sparing no resources to repair Wing and showing Wing the first gesture of kindness in their lifespan.
Completing the mission seemed to lose its appeal with every passing day.
飛翼從未料想自己能活過自爆程序。本該為宇宙殖民地犧牲是件輕而易舉的事，然而臨終時刻卻充斥著恐懼。
多魯基斯本該是飛翼奉命摧毀的敵人；如今卻在此傾盡資源修復飛翼，更在飛翼的存續中展現了首個善意的舉動。
