Summary
You’re in the shitty little break room the 41st precinct boasts, getting coffee and half-listening to whatever story Patrol Officer Torson is entertaining a small crowd with. He gestures wildly, describing a crack shot he made through a window that he swears hit the gun straight out of the perp's hand where he was about to shoot. Williams snorts, “More likely scared the guy so bad he just dropped it.”
“Well I could hardly blame him for getting scared, seeing this officer of the law coming in hot.” Torson makes a show of flexing his muscles, straining against the uniform that he always complains about being too tight. Sergeant Du Bois laughs and wolf whistles, you and the other officers not paying the display much mind. He leans forward on his knee from where he’s half sitting on the counter, “I’m pretty sure any of us have better aim than you, Torson, I’ve seen your shooting results.”
Where Jean mentions that he's never shot a gun before and Harry gives him a lesson.

Do you go onto FAYDE and see a line and go “how do you even get that line was that true the whole time?” Do you not know how much of Elysium is Fantasy France and you’re too afraid to ask? Well have I got the fic for you!
The worldbuilding of Elysium is complicated, detailed, and often hidden behind skill checks. It is precise and vague and subjective and overwhelming, just like real life. This atlas hopes to streamline and organize the traditional FAYDE search process, clarify details, and note when the real world influences are notable and draw upon that. And wrap it all up in a colloquial bow because otherwise it’d be impossible for me to read my own work without my brain glazing over.Complete with aside breakdowns from the author over subjects such as “oh my god a dormant volcano is taller than two Everests”, “what the fuck is up with tzaraath that’s not how prion diseases work what the fuck”, and “why do I have to learn about time!”
