I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

On a mission gone wrong, Pavel Chekov ends up getting hypothermia.
Cue an overstressed Bones as Chekov ends up getting worse and Kirk, who is trying his best to be optimistic, try to get off the planet.
Also, it doesn’t help that Chekov seemed to pick up a few traits from the captain.

Summary
Spock, fed up with Stonn's attempts to elicit an emotional response from him, lies and says he has a significant other. Stonn is skeptical of his claim and when they have another run in a few days later, calls Spock out on the apparent lie. Spock doesn't want to give his cousin the satisfaction of knowing he lied, grabs the nearest beauty he sees and introduces Stonn to his boyfriend, Jim. Jim goes along with it and finds it amusing. Stonn leaves, obliviously jealous of Spock's new boyfriend, but ends up telling the whole family about Jim.
Now the family insists that Spock bring Jim to a family gathering on Vulcan.
Spock has dug himself a hole but at least Jim agrees to help. Will they be able to keep the ruse going? (Perhaps) Will feelings get in the way of their planned break-up after the gathering? (Definitely) Will Spock's Vulcan family adore Jim? (Of course they will!)- Language:

“Your highness, out of purely scientific interest, might I ask something about your home world?” Jim channeled his inner Spock, imagining his command uniform not yellow but blue for a moment.
The Tpek nodded and Jim, knowing to return the gesture, lowered his eyes as well for a brief moment.
James Kirk had to do a double take as his mind took a millisecond longer to realize what exactly was wrong when he lowered his head. Because he did not in fact need to imagine that his uniform was blue instead of yellow… because that’s exactly what it was. Finally, the tightness of the fabric around his waist presented itself with an explanation as Jim fought to control the sudden rush of blood into his cheeks.

Her new betrothed and his family want to meet the new in-laws, but there’s a catch: they have no idea Saavik was raised by the famous James T. Kirk and his first officer Spock, and she would like to keep it that way—at least for now. What could possibly go wrong?
The story is a light-hearted and loving homage to the 1996 film, The Birdcage, which was inspired by the 1978 film La Cage aux Folles, which was itself inspired by the 1973 play of the same name.
