Summary
AU, but set in Faerûn: In an attempt to avoid royal entanglement, wild magic sorcerer Serafina Säfström names an impossible price — the kingdom's firstborn heir — expecting to be rejected. To her surprise, the queen immediately agrees. She later discovers why when a fully-grown prince materializes in the middle of her townhouse. Some romantic-comedy nonsense ensues.
"Oh no," she whispered. "No."
"I'm afraid so," he said, giving a little bow that was more ironic than deferential. "My name's Gale. Prince Gale, I suppose. Crown prince, reluctant heir, wizard of considerable acclaim, scholar of exceptional accomplishment, and, as of about an hour ago, your… property." He smirked. "Or so it would seem."

Summary
THE SHADOWS is the second part of my semi-canonical trilogy. It's story-driven, romantic, smutty and very angsty, with healthy doses of comedy and silly camp dynamics topping it off. POV is half and half between Tav and Gale, with flashbacks, as well as narrative attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting dynamics. Since it's semi-canonical, you do not ~have~ to read The Wilderness to read The Shadows, but I did work very hard on it, so give it a go sometime, if not before this one!
Some favorites from the comments:
- "...really shows the horror of what they're facing, and just how tempting it is to use the tadpoles"
- "SO good, absolutely brilliant rollercoaster of emotions"
- "...the smut oh man the smut, that was incredible, so hot and charming and so very them."
- "filthy and wholesome at the same time. I just loved their banter and how they could still be silly in the heat of the moment."
- "You are illegally good at writing, this was incredible and I'm starting to think you made some kind of bargain with a hag to obtain such amazing skills."
- "You have captured the characters' tones and dynamics so perfectly. This is a feast and yet I'm hungry for more!"Series

Summary
In a 1920s Faerûn traveling freakshow, Astarion—Gentleman Geek and reluctant performer-whisperer—is tasked with fixing the newest attraction: a melancholic merman. But the creature in the tank isn't a gaff. He's Gale, tricked and cursed by a hag to live in a freshwater tank and perform for gawking crowds.
When Astarion secretly brings him pilfered salt, something deeper than duty begins to bloom between the bloodsucker and the storm-eyed merman.
For one bright instant the car lit like a stage. The merman whipped around, eyes catching the storm—hazel, wild, electric—and fixed Astarion with a glare so sharp it could have drawn blood. Sun-browned shoulders. A tail the color of bruised twilight. Gills tattered along neck and ribs. The purple scar sprawling from chest to cheek.
Names are easy things to give when the other mouth cannot argue back, but this time the Gentleman Geek felt something different stir. The merman did not like being called Murray.
“Gale,” he murmured, tasting the word like brine.

Summary
The alarm blared and lights flashed, bathing the dark room in a pattern of red hue. Astarion fumbled to insert a pale blue key card into the small black rectangular pod; finally slotting it into place on the third try with shaky hands. He took a few steps back as the large metal door in front of him groaned and shifted, hinges rusted and slow after decades of disuse.
The door behind him banged loudly and he inched toward the slow moving exit. ‘Come on’ He urged silently. Bright rays of daylight spilled through the cracks, blinding him momentarily. Cold air rushed through, biting at his exposed skin. There was a loud bang behind him again and he looked back just as the barricade broke away. Cazador was rushing towards him, red eyes aflame and pallid face twisted with animalistic fury. Astarion squeezed through the small opening of the exit and slipped away just as he felt a hand graze his arm.
The landscape was dreary, bathed in grey tones. The crisp wind ripped past him, carrying an undertone of death and decay with it. He wrapped his jacket around him tighter and jogged ahead, too afraid to look back.

Summary
A wizard falls into a waypoint. This is not the beginning of a joke, though Gale Dekarios would be the first to admit it has all the hallmarks of one.
He had a plan. The plan involved a remote location, a dignified end, and perhaps a final vintage of wine before the literal bomb in his chest ferried him to the Fugue Plane. It did not involve getting abducted, a parasite in his eye, or a woman who hoards everything and nothing with her forsaken bag of holding.
And yet.
His only hope for survival is currently prying the floorboards from a blighted apothecary. Gale is, apparently, following her.
