    Summary

“She’ll never claim me,” he whispered. Silena shook her head, eyes wild as she looked around for anyone who could be watching.

“My mother doesn’t remember half of her children as it is,” she said with a note of bitterness. “If you do something to impress her, it won’t matter. Return the bolt in her name. She’ll claim you if you act the part. If you stay unclaimed then they'll figure out what you really are," she said, squeezing his hands tightly. Percy's heart sped up.

"I - I don't know the first thing about Aphrodite-"

"My mother was born of sea foam," Silena cut him off. "And if you're really who I think you are... you are the sea. You can pull this off," she said and touched his cheek. "Get the bolt. Survive," she said. Percy swallowed.

"What if I can't act the part?" He asked. Silena's expression went blank for a moment. Slowly, she slipped off her bracelet and placed it in his hands.

"If you're going to be one of us... you better learn."

    Or

AU where Percy has to hide the fact he's a Big Three kid otherwise he'll be killed on the spot. Unfortunately for him, unclaimed kids tend to raise the most suspicion... but he might have found a loophole in the form of Aphrodite.

    Summary

In a way, Steve was kind of grateful for the swift intervention.
He knew now, after all, that most people in the world didn't have the ability to pick out people's emotions, and in a town like Hawkins he wouldn't have lasted long if he commented on every feeling he encountered. It was the reason why despite everything, he had turned out normal, despite all of life's attempts to turn him into something other than a popular somewhat dim-witted jock.

And then one day he’d walked into the Byers household and been slapped in the face with the most godawful aura he'd ever experienced in his life, and he just knew he wasn’t going to be coming back from this.
    or:
Steve has secret powers, which isn't really an issue except he's now dealing with his unexpected feelings(tm) for one Eddie Munson and suddenly things just got a lot more complicated. Also, he has the nasty habit of blowing shit up when he gets stressed which makes the whole 'secret' part of his powers hard.
The situation is totally and completely under his control, he just has to plan this stupid 'We saved the world (again)' party and he should be fine.
    Totally fine.

    Summary

(Formerly known as Into the Deku-Verse)

Shota sneers at the teenager across from him. His defense raises like the hairs on the back of his neck as he glares steadily, ready and waiting for whatever will come from this encounter. He narrows his gaze when the teen shifts; just the thought of sharing this rooftop with Japan's most notorious villain makes his skin prickle. “Deku.”

“Y-yes!” the teenager cries out in relief, taking a small step towards Shota, “I’m Deku! I’m so g-glad you—”

“Deku,” Shota growls darkly, flicking out his capture weapon hastily to snag the villain before he can make his move. He's quick to tug it taut, leaving no room for Deku to escape. “You’re under arrest.”

    “I-I’m what?! W-wait!”

    tl;dr

Hero Course student Izuku comes to the realization that he is definitely not where he's supposed to be.

    Summary

"You need us. We're part of your plan. That's why you're here."

About a week after the battle with Gaea, the demigods are shocked to learn that Artemis from almost a year in the future has turned up. She informs them that she has a plan, one that may just reduce the amount of tragedy that has transpired over the last five years. All they need to do is go back in time and relive everything. Simple, right?

Yes, this is a Reading the Books fanfic. Yes, this is an overused trope. That being said, I really hope that I can finish this. I will be leaning into a lot of discussion about mental health in this, so keep that in mind.
**May contain minor spoilers for TOA**
This fic currently has NO set update schedule. I will update when I can, and with however many chapters I can.

    Bookmarker's Notes

What can I say, I’m a sucker for the “characters-read-their-own-book” trope. Of all the ones I’ve read, however, this one definitely is the most impressive. Writing reactions to an entire two book series can’t be easy, but these authors do a real good job making the backstory, reactions, and characters interesting.
If you’re looking for motivation to reread the PJO series, this is a great way to make it more fun (definitely not from personal experience of course…)

    Bookmarker's Notes

Absolutely LOVE this fic. It feels so real, so heartfelt. I can’t fathom how one person wrote this because it flows so naturally together. The characters are so compelling and I think this is a great study in perspective and understanding. There is an amazing balance between platonic and romantic relationships within this story, and I never once felt like one was made more important than the other. Overall, this is one of the most addictive, realistic stories I’ve ever read.
