Linus was, generally speaking, not one to indulge. So the few things he did allow himself were carefully hidden, little things he couldn't help but feel a little shy and silly about.
Whether it was a particularly overly indulgent piece of cake on his birthday—celebrated with Calliope and Calliope alone—or... this. Something he'd never thought he'd share with anyone, even the few partners he had had over the years.
Until, of course, Arthur.
