Summary
Bobby pulled out his wallet, "That's going to be a total of 35.12, sir." The clerk said she was ringing Bobby up for the books. Bobby pulled out his debit card and went to swipe when, all of a sudden, the ship rocked unnaturally with a muffled boom. The other patrons in the store gasped and murmured about what it was. But Bobby knew. Explosion. He's felt many of them on dry land. He paled. He looked up at the clock, suddenly remembering that he hadn't seen Athena in an hour and a half. "Athena…" He gasped and ran out of the shop.
"Sir, your books!"
Buck would understand.
Bobby dropped the bags he had and immediately ran to where he felt the explosion. It was on the port side of the ship. The far left side of the hull was sucking in water. Fire was crackling as someone screamed, "We're sinking!"

Summary
Lucy encourages Buck to take a short break from the 118 after the lightning strike. He's struggling with keeping up the facade that he's ok, that he's still the same person, when he knows that he both is and isn't the same. His team is supportive enough, understanding that he needs to take a knee or even just a breather from all the craziness that the 118 manages to attract.
Buck manages to get comfortable with himself again, as well as making friends from some of the other stations. He isn't sure about Tommy at first, but they end up having a good flirting back and forth banter. It's not quite the same as it was with Eddie, but it's ... things are good.
Until the freeway collapses.
And Kameron has a baby on his couch.
And his ex-girlfriend writes a book about all the personal conversations they had.
Somehow he still manages to be an amazing firefighter and gets the attention of a Captain who is retiring and decides Buck is the one who should replace him.

So, at dispatch he stays.

Until Buck realises he is the only help available.

Summary
“Come on, show it off for me,” Buck says with a groan, sliding his hands over Eddie’s back. “Let them see.”
Eddie’s warm cheeks flush, hot and scarlet, half-hidden behind the blindfold over his eyes as he feels Buck’s rough, calloused hands against his heated skin. It had started a few weeks prior, with some filthy words from Buck’s mouth.
“Wish I could show you off, let everyone see how fucking good you take it."
