    “Run that by me again one more time, I think my hearing is failing if I heard what I think I did.” Miguel is trying so hard to keep himself level headed but he can already feel the headache coming just from having to deal with Morales.
    “I panicked.” Miles splutters keeping absolutely no composure.
    “So you told them I was your uncle? Your uncle? Really? You told that to your parents?” Miguel constantly gets told he needs to watch his temper but how can he if he has to deal with such dumbassery from his people all the time.

    Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself, as much as he tries. He and Miles have always butted heads-- his son just has this carefree, unfettered approach to life that Davis' strict, no-nonsense methods seemingly have no place in. A large part of him loves Miles for that, truly, even though sometimes Jefferson feels as if he's just slowing him down.

    But now, with Miles away at school on weeknights-- seemingly always busy with something or another-- Jefferson has never felt that gaping space between himself and his son yawn wider.

    Enter the new Spider-Man. A free-spirited kid, five foot nothing and standing between the whole city and danger as if it’s his job, breaking a long series of minor laws with careless ease, and giving a certain cop heart palpitations on a regular basis.

    Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself anymore. No matter how much he hates vigilantes-- especially of the masked variety-- a child is a child. And a dad is a dad.

Between surviving three months with the monsters of the Abyss at age fourteen, fighting his way up from square one through the ranks of the Fatui to his current position, and maintaining his facade as “The Greatest Toy Salesman in Snezhnaya” in the eyes of his youngest and most mischievous brother; yes, it would take a lot to find him in a truly tight spot.

    Waking up in a body that existed nearly 3,700 years ago in the land that had yet to become Liyue? That would be disorienting even for a god. And speaking of gods, the only person he can turn to happens to be one. Here's hoping that the younger Zhongli is as friendly as the one Childe has grown close to.
