A lovers’ touch. He’d also learned that no matter how good of an actress a lady of the night may be, there were limits to what a human would put up with for the sake of coin.
When Jaskier comes along, the White Wolf already knows to hide his freakish nature as best as he’s able.

“These are mine.”
Jaskier looks up at the sound of Geralt’s voice, blinking in surprise. The witcher’s tone is even, and his face unexpressive, but Jaskier still tries to read into the words. Geralt is holding a palmful of wrapped sweets in his hand, and a quick glance reveals them to be lemon candies, which Jaskier loves.
And which Geralt hates.
He frowns, confused.
“You don’t even like those,” he feels compelled to announce. His own lingering guilt and fear of being a burden after stealing Geralt’s dagger aside, it makes no sense why Geralt would suddenly decide to forbid candies he doesn’t even like when he’s never denied Jaskier things before. They’ve been to three other towns since then, and he hasn’t brought it up. Jaskier’s avoided any Mischief to avoid creating any problems since then, so it’s not as if he’s given him a pressing reason to suddenly feel the need to scold him.
“They’re mine,” Geralt continues, splitting them between both hands and tucking them into his pockets on either side. “So don’t steal them.”
(Jaskier is part fae and thus has a biological imperative for Mischief) (Geralt proves unexpectedly supportive about this)

Summary
After Dean leaves him at the Gas N' Sip in Rexford, Castiel realises that he needs to get back in the game. However, that's easier said than done, and instead he finds himself working in a Target-style superstore in Boulder as he tries to figure out his new human life. He makes friends, starts hunting, even has a couple of hook-ups, but when Dean unexpectedly returns, Castiel has to re-evaluate where Dean fits in to this new life he has built for himself, and what it is they need from each other.
And while Castiel may have had his grace stripped from him, he still possesses certain angelic sensibilities that may be the key to fixing some of the damage Metatron has wrought. With some creativity, teamwork, and a dash of hope, maybe he can discover just how much he's really capable of.

Geralt was sated and sleepy, drowsing with his head in Yennefer's lap and his bare feet propped up on Jaskier’s outstretched thigh. Jaskier was gently strumming his lute, contemplating a rhyme for tumescent, when he noticed Yen watching him with the bright-eyed energy she sometimes had after they’d all enjoyed a good romp.

“If we are to use you as bait to lure our possessed Witcher here to Kaer Morhen, do you understand what that entails?”
Jaskier nods, but he remains quiet.
A slight tremor works its way into his right hand, and Yennefer smirks at its appearance.
The sorceress scoffs faintly, and she approaches him. There is something in her violet eyes, like a spark that proceeds the wildfire it causes as she comes close, her voice growing low and sharp.
“He will hunt you,” Yennefer whispers, as though she is reciting some sort of spell, bewitching as she is sardonic, “You cannot hide from him. You cannot outrun him. You cannot overpower him.”
Jaskier swallows, but he does not waiver. Not even as Yennefer begins to circle him.
Despite the tears in her dress and the dirt that clings to her form, she remains as entrancing as ever. It’s as though she’s a fever dream Jaskier can only spot from the corners of his eyes.
Her words come to Jaskier like a mirage, a silhouette muddled in fog. The only solid sensation coming from her being the race her words bring to his heart.
“You will be at the Witcher’s mercy.”
That should scare Jaskier.
But it doesn't.

Lost in a forest, he tries to steal from a seemingly innocent cottage, but it is in fact, the home of a mage, who is none too happy about her things being stolen by a bard. Meanwhile, Geralt thinks he might finally be on the right track to finding Jaskier again, only for the trail to dry up abruptly, where he finds nothing but a surprisingly affectionate cat.
