Wade doesn’t “<3” NY. In fact, he hates New York. It smells like shit, the sewer rats are the ones who really run things, and Jay Z was only partially right; it’s a concrete jungle where dreams are made of, except there’s nothing you can do.
So after Weasel, Domino, and pretty much the entirety of Sister Margaret’s decided to relocate to an old bankrupt Blockbuster Video on Manhattan’s east side, Wade almost didn’t go with them. Except he absolutely did, because he likes paychecks. It’s totally not because he’s pathetically lonely and would miss his friends. His negative opinion of New York is proven to be 42069% accurate when, within a month of moving, he’s kidnapped by a new off-brand Weapon X group that immediately puts a microchip in his skull to control him.
There is one good thing about New York, though, and he's snarky, wears unfairly tight red and blue spandex, and lives rent-free in Wade's head. Unfortunately, 'Temu' Weapon X wants their brand-new microchipped immortal murder slave to find Spider-Man's identity and all of his weaknesses.

The only thing keeping him sane is the voice outside his cell. Wade Wilson wasn’t supposed to be here either, but Deadpool has a habit of pissing off the wrong people. Between crude jokes and whispered escape plans, they keep each other alive—until the day the restraints finally snap.
But freedom doesn’t feel like it used to. Peter isn’t sure where the experiments end and where he begins. His reflexes are sharper, his thoughts aren’t always his own, and the hunger—the need—to hurt the people who did this won’t go away. Wade calls him “Spidey” like nothing’s changed, like he isn’t a walking nightmare stitched together by cruelty.
But Peter knows better.
Heroes don’t come back from places like this.

If Kim Dokja were brave, maybe someone would have held him in bed when it rained, keeping him from staring out at the wet buildings and dark skyline. Maybe that someone would have run their fingers along Kim Dokja’s stomach and whispered sweet nothings in his ear, letting him fall into the comfort of sleep.
Kim Dokja quickly shook his head and looked at the center console of the car, where the radio was turned off. So very Yoo Joonghyuk, to do that. When Yoo Joonghyuk streamed, he never played music in the background.
I wonder if you ever noticed the way I looked at you.
Because too often, Kim Dokja imagined those dark eyes looking into his, while the clouds dumped their anger down on the city and made puddles that mirrored the sky.
